At CSVFixer, protecting your privacy means designing the service so it does not need your file contents or readable network address after processing.
Data handling & security
Files uploaded to CSVFixer are processed entirely in memory. We do not write them to permanent storage. Once processing is complete and the download is initiated—or the session expires—the in-memory copy is discarded.
You should still keep an original copy of every file before using any repair or conversion tool.
Free-tier quota
Free for occasional use — up to 5 repairs per day. To enforce this limit without retaining a readable IP address, CSVFixer stores an irreversible HMAC hash of the network address together with repair timestamps. Expired quota events are deleted automatically.
Founder Pass browsers use a signed essential cookie to confirm unlimited access. The cookie contains a random license identifier—not payment information or CSV contents—and can be removed by deactivating the pass or clearing browser cookies.
Analytics, forms & usage tracking
We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand traffic, performance and general interaction patterns. These services may set cookies and process technical information such as device type, approximate location and pages visited.
If you voluntarily submit the newsletter form, HubSpot stores the email address, optional name and consent choices you provide so CSVFixer can send the requested updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
These services are not used to inspect the contents of CSV files.
Payments & PayPal
Founder Pass payments are handled by PayPal. PayPal may provide us with limited transaction details, such as your email address and payment status, so we can verify the purchase and issue an activation code.
Third-party links
CSVFixer may link to external services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for their content or data handling.
